How to add wideband to my Accel Gen 7?
I want to upgrade my system to wideband, I'm current using a heated 02 narrowband. I have the Accel Gen 7 DFI computer in my 89 GTA.
In the Accel manual, it says I can purchase Accel P/N: 77062
This is $500 from Summit Racing.

I've heard of people using the LC-1 kit with Accel Gen 7, it's only $200.

Can someone shed some light on this for me? Why the huge price difference?
Thanks!!

Because imho the LC-1 is crap.
The Accel is head and shoulders above the LC-1, much faster and a whole lot more accurate. Plus it does more things than the LC-1 as well, i.e. Lean alarm, 16 channel datalog etc.
Send me your email address, I'll send you proof of the Lc-1, can't attach it here.
AEM makes a decent one as well though too.

That sounds like crap to me.

That was profound.
It is, besides my own experience, I have an independent test that was done by a lab showing it's inaccuracy. Again send me your email and I'd be happy to send it to you.
Most of the aftermarket systems use the same Bosch sensor, that's not the problem. It's the controller. The LC-1 is slow and consequently inaccurate. That's not an issue when tuning a carbed application but when doing EFI you're already in the next cell by the time it reads the previous one, makes it that much harder to tune.
As mentioned there are other good ones besides the Accel, i.e. AEM, but I contend the Innovate is the worst of the bunch.

I'm interested in your data. dave2brecht@yahoo.com
I actually bought both an Accel wideband ($550) and an AEM wideband system ($200).
I'm going to look at both and decide which one to wire up to my GEN7 ECU..
AEM seems to have gotten good reviews from my research thus far. Both systems output 0-5V 10-20AFR so the output signals should be the same for both brands.
