Help Finding Replaement ECM

I want to replace my 83 ECM for troubleshooting purposes. I have found several with the correct part number, (1226025), But I am also looking for one with the same three letter code, CCA. I'm thinking it has something to do with it being an L69.

I just found a reference that this the code is for the prom. Anybody know if this a fact? That would explain why I'm having trouble finding one.

If this is the case I might assume my prom is still OK and install it in the replacement ECM.

Any thoughts?

Re: Help Finding Replaement ECM

The cca is the broadcast code for the prom if yours is bad it maybe hard to find the exact code to replace it with but others will work in it's place. The gm part number for the cca is 1226510. A replacement ecm can be found on ebay for cheap gm 1226025 or cardone 77-6025.
