Wide Band Tuning

I am curious to what benafits there are to altering the filter rates and response rates of the TT-1 WB. In the preference's/ ADC channesl section of the Whats Up Display, I see an option to alter the filter rate of the TT-1. Also in the TT-1 WB Utility program I see an option to alter the response rate of both the WB output and the simulated NB output. Is it benafitial to alter these values?

Re: Wide Band Tuning

I am not sure of the default settings on those but you want the wideband to be fast enough to read rapid changes but not so fast that it reports every minuscule change like you see in each cylinder over the operating range. It would fluctuate so much it would be hard to tell what the actual or average air fuel is for that bank. A cylinder can be lean and rich across an rpm range and unless you have individual o2's in each port you will never see it more than likely. I guess with a very fast report rate you may see more fluctuations with a single o2 at the collector. I think its something you would want to play with to see how it reacts to the motors changes.

I am curious to hear others thoughts on this. I havent heard of my local tuners altering the wideband settings
