Accell DFI 6 - Windows Based Editing

I figured I'd post this here since the traffic is so much higher than at the corvette forum.

I'm looking for a guinea pig or two to help me test some software and gather some info.

Way back in 2005 I started a thread about how great it would be to find the old source code for Calmap 6 to port it to Windows or write our own. http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c4-t...urce-code.html So I purchased a serial sniffer http://www.stratusengineering.com/EZTap.html and have been trying to figure out the communications between Calmap 6.32 and the Accel ECU. I emailed John Meaney who put me in touch with Perry Paielli who wrote the original software in the late 80s. He was able to explain a few things.

I put together something super rough that just reads the base fuel map table, lets you edit it, saves it to a file and reads it from a file. It does nothing more and sometimes not even that correctly. It has the RPM axis but not the MAP axis yet. It is purely a rough prototype.

Right now all I know is it works with my Accel 6 ECU (on 91 corvette) on my Windows 7 64 bit laptop using a craptastic Staples USB to serial adapter. I'd like to see if it works in other cases. If it works on different hardware I'll document what I know so anyone who wants to can write their own software, ideally in a lower lever more efficient language.

Here is a screenshot. I can read the sensors but have no idea what the functions are to display the proper value. The "show current cell" does work.

I'd love to have 2 or 3 people test it to see if it works with their hardware and ECM. The only requirements are a Windows PC with the .NET 2.0 Framework which XP and up should already have installed. A day or two more of cleanup and it should be ready for someone to try.
