Accel DFI gen 7 no start
So the other day I was changing a fuel spots in my tune file that went to the back burner for a long time. Since the car was off the road for a long time I never fixed the tune after changing just about everything on the engine. Well everything was going great. I was just changing a few tables at idle while in my garage. I lowered my idle speed a bit then had to correct it with a bit of fuel and timing in the tables. Then I was working on my tau table when the car died. When trying to start it I just just what sounds like bubbles in the exhaust. No loud backfires just blubs in the exhaust.
Now some background. Its a 350 tpi with a D1sc. The fuel system is fead from a sump through and aero motive pump. The ignition system is stock with a small cap HEI and a MSD blaster 2 coil. My first thoughts were that the ignition mod failed. I was at the local Pick an pull gathering some other parts the other day so I grabbed a new HEI distributor with HEI mod. Swapped it in and still doing the same exact thing. I know this mod could also be defective but I'm looking to see if anyone else has any other suggestions. I'm seriously looking to get rid of the stock distributor for a dual sync unit.
Thanks in advance, Will

I'm an Accel dealer, I did their training video.
Boot up and see if you have an ignition signal while cranking, you'll see the tach on the dashboard move if you do.
Check that first, then let me know.

I did check the software while cranking, I noticed that the tach on the home screen was showing roughly 150-200 RPMs while cranking. I did not look at my dash gauge though.
Re: Accel DFI gen 7 no start
I meant the tach on the DFI dashboard. You have an ignition signal so your problem is elsewhere.

Well after some digging here is the root of my problem, Well not the root but the cause of the no start.

Turns out that many of my engine problems have been caused by the same main part. My OIL pump. I looked back in my build records and found that this engine received a melling High volume pump. This thing is the cause of killing now my 2nd distributor gear, as well as the cause of the oil blowing out of my engine from every seal under boost.

Are you saying it's jumped out of time? Because you said you had an ignition signal so it was turning at least enough to give you that.
Thanks for the info.
