Really quick question

Now I know this has most likely been answered before but I just can't seem to find it. If I take an ecm out of an 89-90 caprice 5.7 tbi and use it in my 88 camaro 350 tbi swap will it be plug and play or will I have to change the chip either way.

Re: Really quick question

It will work, just check it that it is a 1228746 ECM and that it comes from a 5.7l engine'd car. IIRC, '90 was a switch-over year for the ECM to a different one. Also check the '88 Caprices.

RBob.

Re: Really quick question

Not really sure what that means lol I'm new to the whole ecm thing. I have a used 8746 with out a prom chip in it that I would like to use but I can't seem to find anywhere that sells the stock 350 tbi chip. I don't know anything about chip tuning or prom burning.
