tuning ?'s

I'm looking at swapping the TPI to an MR mainly to benefit from higher rpm hp. will the stock ECM work with a chip? how about if I went with a 383 and heads and cam? what ECM's are available as a direct swap?

Re: tuning ?'s

Not with a 'chip', but with hands on tuning it will work.

As for which ECMs will work, need year & model of vehicle.

Re: tuning ?'s

That car uses the 1227730 ECM, which also goes by some other (newer) service numbers. It is the only direct swap ECM for that vehicle.

Re: tuning ?'s

Put in the ecm/tuning software in on the TPI before you swap intakes. Learn how it works and all the tuning basics so at swap time you won't be helpless. You need a good foundation and making small changes on a stock engines stock tune file is the best way to start.
