ECM Codes Won't Reset

Anybody know why my ECM error codes won't reset by pulling the ECM Fuse? 92 RS -- I am traveling right now and its Xmas day so have no access to an 8 mm wrench to disconnect the battery cable...

The fuse to pull is the one under the hood. It is inline a wire on the passenger side that runs along the inner fender. Remove it for at least 10 minutes.

Thanks but I don't have an inline fuse anywhere to be found on either side. The only ECM fuse is in the fuse block. I picked up a wrench set this morning and pulled the battery cable and it reset fine.

It's there, you just didn't find it yet. The ECM fuse in the fuse panel is for the ignition switched power to the ECM. The inline fuse powers the ECM along with providing power for RAM back up (during key-off).

The inline fuse also provides power for the fuel pump.

Re: ECM Codes Won't Reset

Ok, thanks.. I found it.. It was behind the carbon canister (my battery is on the driver side) just in front of the radiator overflow bottle and was hidden in a plastic mounting case bolted up under the edge of the fender.. Looked like a cable connector just plugged into a small relay.. Pulled the connector loose and it held the fuse inside it.. Neat way to hold the fuse but darn hard to find.. ECM codes reset ok by pulling it..
