How does the ecm know to pulse injectors?
I have a 92 camaro that I converted to speed density TPI. My fuel pump is wired to a switch thats getting its power from an acc slot in my fuse box. My injectors are not pulsating, could the missing link between the oil pressure switch telling the fuel pump to run be the reason why my injectors are not pulsating?

The fuel pump voltage a sense will not stop injector pulse. The e needs to see 400rpm or higher 8drp to enable the injectors on the white icm wire. have you verified power to the ECM ? A quick test is to enter field service mode. This sound like a possible vats issue.

Re: How does the ecm know to pulse injectors?
Thanks for the quick response tuned, I have not verified power to the ecm. What is field service mode? I assume you are talking about the SES light? I will go out & jump the ALDL with a paper clip & see if I get any kind of code.
BTW I do have spark so I know my ICM is working..... I also suspect an issue with vats. This car was converted from TBI to carb from the previous owner, I can only assume he did it due to vats. I suspect he may have jumped the starter enable relay to get the starter to run, but he could not figure out why it would not crank afterwards(ecm/injector side of vats) and converted to carb.....
Eitherway trying to rule out all possiabiliys b4 I order a prom with vats tuned out....

Yes, jumper a to b at the aldl to quickly verify ECM power. KOEO pin F10 at the ECM a dark blue wire is the pass key signal to the chine. With a com you will see 2.5vdc or a hz signal.

Other things to check, Power to the injectors bank 1 & 2 . Making sure you have a good ground D6 & D7 of the 730 ECM.

You lost me when you said "pass key signal to chine" & "with a com you will see 2.5vdc or a hz signal"
What am I checking there? Also I do have the annoying chime when I put the key in & turn it....
How do I check for a good ground at d6 & d7? I do have the 730 ecm...

Sorry spell checker changed vom to com. Use a vom on ohm setting to check the ground continuity .
