Can't get OBD1 flash codes

Hi all, I have a solid check engine light. Tried crossing A&B terminals to flash the codes and computer doesn't seem to be responding. CEL just stays on steady and doesn't go into diagnostic mode like it use to. Another odd thing is the brake warning light is on constantly now too, might be unrelated.

Anyone ever had this problem? Thanks in advance.

Re: Can't get OBD1 flash codes

This is common for '94-'95, but those are OBD1.5, and have coil packs, not distributors.

Re: Can't get OBD1 flash codes

What's the diagnosis on the 94-95's that do it out of curiosity?

Re: Can't get OBD1 flash codes

FYI,for future "searchers" turns out the Memcal was the issue, threw another one in and started working.

See the "Memcal, Prom, Calpak" sticky up top.
