Memcal Troubles?

Over the weekend, I finally put a battery back in my car, thinking I'd go for a drive this weekend. When I started it up it went straight into limp mode. I couldn't even get my laptop to link. I pulled the memcal and put it in the adaptor on my programmer, and found garbage on the eprom. Strange, no matter what I did, it would continually give off different readings. I took the chip off of the memcal and put it directly in the programmer. Problems disappeared. I put the chip back in the memcal, the memcal back on the adaptor and checked continuity for every pin. It all checked out, but still went crazy in the programmer. Now I'm confused?!? Any ideas?

Chris

There is a bad connection in the adapter, might just go thru and resolder every pin. I've had several do that, some even after months of use.

Thanks Grumpy! I went back over the connections in the memcal with my multitester, and as usual, you were right!
