Trying to troubleshoot possible ECM problem
Not sure where to start...
In a nutshell, I need to find "the purple wire to ECM" ...
One issue I definitely have is a code 44= lean exhaust indication. Following the troubleshooting flow chart, my dwell still does not read 50* with engine at part throttle and choked. If you can see the pic... I am not sure how to proceed... I have a multimeter and can set it to 20v... connect to + batt. terminal... but what is the purple wire to the ECM?
thanks for reading,
J.

Re: Trying to troubleshoot possible ECM problem
So I connected my voltmeter from the O2 sensor wire to the + terminal, and then checked the dwell. Dwell needle moved back and forth from between 20 and 40.
"Check for an open from ECM term. 14 to ground"... Folks, I have no idea how to do this. Sorry if it's a dumb question..
