I hate to be another guy begging for help but I'm not having any luck getting my laptop to connect to my ECM. If anyone could help me out I would appreciate it.


Quick rundown of my setup....


-89 Iroc former TBI, converted harness to speed density 7730 ECM
- 355 with vortec heads, holley stealth ram, and 22# bosch 3 injectors from southbay, Lunati Voodoo 20080721 cam.

- windows 7 on laptop
-new moates ALDL cable
-purchased a tune, seems to run good but need to datalog and set timing, ( I have no intentions of doing my own tuning, just want datalog capabilities)


My problem is datamaster, I've downloaded, tried watching several youtube videos on how to make it work, but I've opened a door to something I know nothing about. I'm very dimwitted on computers.


I think I need to download definition files and bin files from code59.org, There are so many different possibilities, If I do get the right ones selected and download them, How do I get them placed properly on my laptop so datamaster sees them?


I know this is basic to most, I would appreciate any guidance.
