FAST has a relatively new product out called an eDIST.
What it allows you to do is convert from DIS or Distributor to Coil Near Plug, like the LS1s use. Well actually conventional coils too.
You do need to generate a can synch signal. But MSD has a line of new distributors with that capacity.
One the GM oem ecms you have to be a little clever and use the oem ignition module to get a full time EST signal, but other then that it's just a matter of wiring things up.
I just got it running on my car, and well, it about scared me, that it starts so easy now.
Definite better throttle response,
and a lower cruise TPS.
No commerical ties etc with them, just passing a *good thing* along.
For GM to go to such an expensive set up, there just has to be some reason for it. using all new parts gets kinda expensive, but a friend of mine went from a MSD 7 to a similiar system and definetly likes it...
It won't cure mechanical problems, but as close to Correct as my tune is, it still improved things.

Thanx, Grumpy for the info. I looked at it once I got the bulletin from FAST, (actually when I saw it in GMHTP, but FAST didn't have the info up yet). Can you give a ballpark on what that system would cost?
