What gives?

I recently changed my ECM. Before I did, my instrument cluster worked fine; after I did, engine ran hot, and tachometer & temp gauge read high. Any ideas?

Re: What gives?

Considering the ECM doesn't control the gauges, it's either not related or not an instrumentation issue.

Re: What gives?

Does the fan(s) run OK? The '91 V6 ECM and the '91 TPI ECM both control the engine cooling fan.

Re: What gives?

Opened hood with engine hot; fan not working or working intermittently. What's the fix?

Re: What gives?

Wonder if the terminals on the new cluster are all clean, especially the grounds.

Cluster was working fine, before ECM was changed.
