ecm toast?

ecm toast?

noticed other morning when I started it ses lite stayed on. shut it off. restarted it. same thing. I jumped a and b at the connector. fan didnt come on ses never flashed just stayed on. took jumper out in tried to start it back up. nothing just turnt over never started.

Sounds like it. Try this, do a key-on, engine-off while observing the SES light. It should turn on briefly, blink off, then turn on solid. Can repeat the test after at least 10 seconds of key-off.

The key is the blink off, it the SES doesn't do that then either the ECM or the PROM on the MEMCAL is bad.

also notice last 6 mths at first start, itd take 10 mins to warm up before it would idle down to 850rpm.

tried it again. ses light blinks. but fan not coming on and no codes when a and b jumped.
