Question

I just had a carb swap and i was wondering if i could turn off the check engine light?

Remove the bulb . You can also cut the brown/white stripe wire at pin e7 at the ecm. The ecm grounds the check engine light bulb when there is a malfunction.You need to retain the ecm it’s a vehicle speed buffer for the speedometer. Unless you get a buffer from a tpi maf or tbi car.
You can see that e7 is in the yellow connector at the ecm.
