Stock tach and DIS

Hello,

Does the stock tach require a HV kickback pulse?

I'm seeing some strange fluxuations with the DIS box, and I'm not sure if the factory tach needs a HV kickback or if it's dying.

The answer is that yes, the stock tach requires HV kickback.

I bought a BTAC2 v00 tach adapter, which is similar to MSD 8920. It provides the appropriate signal for the factory tach.

I suspect as more and more people convert to full aftermarket ECUs, DIS swaps, etc this info may be helpful.
