305 miles on ECM. Failed

165 ECM from Advance Auto. Failed after 305 miles.
Can't even pull a code 12 from it.
Intermittent runs very rich.
Intermittent engine light.
Can't pull any code at all.
Garage stinks from gas. Probably diluted the oil.

So much for reman garbage....

Finally got Advance Auto to take back their garbage ECM. Wasn't easy.... but they eventually took it back.
Not sure how they remanufacturer these things, but it had a Mexico sticker on it.

Re: 305 miles on ECM. Failed

My injector driver in the ECM recently took a dump. I was going to get a Cardone ECM, or a Blue Streak. Both are made in the U.S.A. I went with the Cardone. So far so good.

Re: 305 miles on ECM. Failed

I've been running a reman 165 ECM from Autozone for 3 years. No issues. My parts car had a reman in it already from 15 years ago and I've used it too for troubleshooting. No issues. You probably just got a bad one. It happens.
