Has Anyone Used PCM of NC or Hawks Motorsports' Custom Chips?

I know the mantra on this board is to just burn your own chips. I am leaning towards that, especially when I do get my 350. For a while I will be keeping the 305. I know in the C4 Corvette world and over at CorvetteForums they love PCM of NC. I've seen a few YouTube videos of C4 guys running their chips.
Basically, I have a 86 IROC Z with the LB9. I have a full Hooker exhaust system (headers, Y-Pipe, Muffler) and I did the ram air mod to make it less restrictive (removed the one piece, cut the holes, HVAC piping) and the throttle body air foil. Car is a daily driver that only occasionally gets stop light raced. I know on the Vettes the chips seem to boost mid range performance.

I also recently learned that Hawks also offers their own custom burned chips. They are a little pricer compared to PCM of NC but I know Hawks is usually reputable brand. Has anyone tried one yet?

Re: Has Anyone Used PCM of NC or Hawks Motorsports' Custom Chips?

I've done business with PCM of NC and the chip worked, removed VATS, compensated for bigger injectors, etc. etc., but didn't really feel it was any different than the old hypertech (junk) chip. I was happy with it because it did what had to be done, but the car wasn't any "faster" feeling. That being said, without your car there with them, or without emailing datalogs, there's really only so much they can do without risking your car. I had my GMC Sierra tuned, and the tuner and I sent datalogs back and forth. ....if you're not doing that, I don't think it's worth the money. That's not a knock on PCM of NC, but rather a general statement based on personal and anecdotal experience.
