Has anyone had any recent experiences buying Red Devil River's ALDL cable through their site? Placed an order a few weeks back, and reached out after to confirm the order, as the checkout never had a confirmation window; but still haven't heard anything at all. Was curious if anyone's had similar experiences from them, or how long it took to get their cable.

If your trying to connect to a 1227165 ecm go with moates. Never had any luck with red Devil

 

Well that's unfortunate to hear... I was hoping it was just a fluke but that doesn't sound promising.

Good to know; especially if I don't hear anything from him and have to request a refund through PayPal and find another adapter. Can't remember what ECM I have, running 5.0 TBI now but have 2 other 5.0 TPI setups I might switch to down the road

As a point of reference I just recently ordered Moates ALDU1 and CAB1, I received order and shipping emails quickly, I also received my order 2 days earlier than expected.

 

Will definitely keep that in mind; if I don't hear back after one more follow up to Red Devil, Moates will definitely be the route I'll go. Seems like that's the way I should've went in the first place, now seeing how many issues people have had with both getting and using the Red Devil cables.

 

Just a little update - the adapter was actually delivered yesterday; so good news I didn't have to go through the hassle of a refund. Communication definitely left a bit to be desired but at least it came

 

Just responding for anyone else searching in the future. Ordered the cable from red devil river because it said in stock and the website looked legit.

After receiving nothing but an automated thanks-for-your-order email and no cable for a couple weeks I did a deeper dive and it appears that everyone in the last few years who ordered from him has had the same experience in currently having of no response to emails, no answering the phone, no shipping notification, and the cable may or may not arrive unannounced in a few months.

Would definitely order elsewhere if you have the option.
