Knock filter board
Hi,
So way back in 1996 I took my completely stock 1991 GTA to the drag strip to see what she would do and at the end of my third run she started pinging and before I could lift smoke came billowing out from under the hood, not good! Without realizing the extent of the damage, and being 25 years old at the time, I ended up driving the car home, a 1-1/2 hour ride and she made it. After tearing down the motor I found four cracked pistons! After rebuilding and installing the motor I was able to troubleshoot and determine that the memcal was at fault. I ended up buying a new one at the dealer for 30 bucks. I hung onto the old one and now, with the unavailability of a new one, I would like to repair it if possible.
Are these repairable? If not any idea where I might be able to get a knock filter board?
Thanks!

Re: Knock filter board
The knock filter isn’t repairable, you can use a tpi maf esc and unsolder the old knock filter. Or tune out the knock filter and code 43. All R knock filters are the same for 350 with the 3.9k ohm knock sensor. So a 727 or 730 memcal works. p is the second digit on the filter for 305 .Just different binary files for the tune.
