Vacuum leak right?

OK...was playing around today working on getting my BLMs correct on my lower VE table......I'm almost always hitting 108 on the blm AND the INT.....so we're running ruch... OK started pulling fuel out...pulled a LOT out to hit the 128...took her for a spin and felt a little hesitation off idle...but just figured I needed to richen that up a bit. OK....more driving and I notice my blms are back down to 108 again (with no change in the prom) grabbed a can of carb cleaner to do the old vacuum leak test. To my ear...absolutely no change in RPM.....to Craigs software...no change in RPM....the INT however drops from the 110 range down to 100 and then recovers again. Safe to say I have a vauum leak and thus the reason I had to pull so much fuel out of it??? 90 sd.....bone stock except for a 2.5 inch flowmaster cat back. Thanks all!

forgot to mention these baseline numbers (BLM is a constant 108)
825 RPM Int 104 Map 43.79
1,050RPM INT 100 Map 40.00
1,200 RPM INT 110 map 33.04
1,400 RPM INT 110 map 32.07
1,600 RPM INT 109 map 32.07

Thus you can see why I started pulling fuel out. Think I have a leak guys?

First, tell us EVERYTHING about your engine. Everything that's stock and everything that's changed. Leave NOTHING out.

Something as simple as a relocated MAT on an SD car running in cool weather can cause it to run exceedingly rich.

Also, if you've made changes to your eprom, what have you done.

well the car really is very stock. 90 305 tpi auto....140,000 miles....currently running a stock 91 305 tpi 5 spd prom. No modes so far except for the 2.5 inch flowmaster cat back...and a pair of K&N's. All sensors with the exception of the TPS and IAC are new (those two are working correctly however) F/P is at 42...base timing is 6 btc....all emmisions still in place...not sure what else to tell you. Car reacts the same on the BLM with both the stock prom and the 5 spd prom.....5 speed just seems to be a little bit more aggressive.

Why are you using a 5-speed BIN? Did you swap to a 5-speed? If not, you should return to your auto BIN and re-program the spark tables to what you prefer.

Lastly, what is your current idle speed when the engine is fully warmed? The Manual BIN will increase the idle speed from the Auto BIN.
