MEM-CAL questions
I just got my SD 1227730 ECM and MAP sensor today for my MAF to SD converstion. The MEM-CAL in the ECM is a "ASMJ 0692". Here is my questions how do i know if it has the right limp home chip for my engine? Not for some other car that GM used the 1227730 ECM on. I dont care about the ASMJ chip b/c I am going to burn over it, just worried that if the ECM goes into limp with this MEM-CAL that it will not have the right settings stored in the limp home chips to run my engine. Are all the MEM-CAL's the same for the 1227730?

It's for a 88-89 2.8 V6 Beretta...can't be used on a V8 car.
You need the AUJP Memcal
Use that link that I gave and plug in "AUJP" for the proper part number.
In the early 90s, most SD L98 F-bodies ran the AUJP1350. The current replacement Memcal is now the AUJP1615...but it's idential except for the "date and sequence number". But that link will give you the proper GM Part Number.
