Hybrid Arap

Ok so we all know the arap rocks.....

Yet we all know the timing tables suck.

So what bin is known for its reasonable timing for a MAF car? I'd like to clip the timing table from a much less agressive bin and add it to the arap's good fuel/other calibrations.

I'm going to break the engine in on this bin so I'd much rather be short on timing than heavy.

Thanks

I dropped in the ANYK timing table during my break-in period. I have just put the ARAP one back in and want to see the difference running at the track, but have not been able to get out there yet.

Timing tables are TOTALLY engine specific.
Just pick one, and start working on it.

I had a year working on a timing table, then several years later installed the engine and trans in another car, and it was easier to start over instead of even trying to rework the old one, and I found that out 6 chips later.

I haven't seen a stock MAF timing table that I would even use, without work. But you got to start some where.

Grumpy:

I completely understand that its going to be NOWHERE near optimal, or hell, even driveable, I just want a "Safe" table for break in. Something I can drop in the arap and not worry about knocking for my 2,000rpm X 30minutes. (flat tappet)

Are you aware of a very conservative table?

I think I heard one of the resident "knowsalot" guys say that a manual PROM has *less* advance (no torque converter to cushion things) and of course a car w/ 2.73's would have less advance than one w/ 3.42's so a 2.73 manual car would be prime pickings for what you're looking to do (unless they didn't make a 2.73 manual car, in which case you're looking for 3.08's )
