ARAP.BIN VS. after market survey

Other than availability of the bin file, how does ARAP stack up against Hypertech, ADS, Jet etc? Has anyone tried both ARAP and the other guys? I just installed the ARAP in my Camaro and it seems to have helped the throttle response and of course I was able to disable the old cold start setup as a bonus.

I don't have MAF but those that have swapped to the ARAP have been extremely happy with the change and using it for their "base"...all bins should be tweaked to YOUR engine.

Regardless, ANYTHING is better than ADS, Hypertech, Jet and other "off the shelf" eproms. All they do is add a little more timing at the mid-range (very conservative at that), a touch more fuel (which may not be necessary), a mph or two higher locking speed of the TCCC (debatable move) and possibly altering Fan#1 on/off temp (generally only for the 160* T-stat, which is a debateable mod in itself).

BTW, you spelt your name wrong.

Pablo, I guess we speak different English than y'all. Eh?

We have a lot of differences in spelling along with pronounciation like colour, labour, plough, bough .....

thats ok man, i'm born and raised speaking english and i went to the dictionary for that one...(i was thinking it was pronounced like dough...threw me off)

plough=plow
bough=thought it was "bow" (like infront of an audience) based on the other one, but the dictionary says it means either bow (of a ship) or the larger branches of a tree

go figure...

Gee, it only took someone 2 years to answer that question. But you are right on both counts - plough & bough are pronounced and mean the same as plow & bow. The former is the "Queen's English" and the latter is "American English".

But if plough = plow and bough = bow, shouldn't cough = cow?

Every language has its exceptions...I get into discussions about things just like this in the French language...but that's a great example in English.....
