What freaking prom do I need?

I'm buying the stuff to program my own eproms, and I saw the chart in the newbit to prom burning thing. well when I go to those sites none say the same info. anybody know which one I need for any 87' 350 TPI? thanks

WinBin to edit your EPROM content, Pocket Programmer to burn your chip, and 29C256 chip to hold the program. That's two items to buy, and one for free.

The 27C128 or 27128A PROMs are the right size, but as mentioned above you can use a 29C256 which eliminates need for an eraser.

To use the 29C256 you'll have to burn it either double-sized (copy /b command) or alter the starting address, it's all covered here if you do a search on 29C256.
