Speed Density MEMCALs

Anyone have any idea where to get some cheap MEMCALS for a SD 5.0 & 5.7 Camaro/Firebirds 90-92??

Does anyone have any for sale. I have a **** load of AT29C256 and I am looking to mod a few MEMCALS so I can program and switch on the road

Thanks
Jay

Why dont you just modify your Memcal now and solder in a DIF socket. When you want to do tuning just install a low-profile ZIF socket ontop of the DIF and you can swap out prom's whenever you want. It'll be cheaper then buying multiple Memcals. Brand new Memcal's cost $42 bucks. Did you try checking the local yards and see if they have any?

What's a DIF?

I meant DIP socket. I think Craig's design also uses a DIP socket on his adapters and then a ZIF socket ontop that for easy swapping. When you finally get the your program the way you like it just remove the ZIF socket and insert the prom into the DIP. That way you'll be 100% sure the prom will never wiggle out.
