Progress!

I have been having probs getting a code 12 out of my custom chip. Well I finally started over with a stock BIN and then reburned one only changeing the minimal stuff. I plugged it in and got code 12. But the battery was dead so
I couldn't crank her.

My question is: Is there anything in the chip that I could have turned off by accident that would not allow it to operate properly? I had the VATs turned off every other time. But even with VATS on I still should have gotten code 12.

Also does VATS cut fuel or spark?

Its a 90-92 SD system BTW.

Maybe you had a different prom ID in the last burn?

Code 12 means the ECM is functioning properly. In fact, you strive to ONLY get code 12. It's when you CAN'T get a code 12 that you have a problem.

Maybe I did hit that by accident. Is there anything other possible thing that could have not let a code 12 go on?

sorry I Glenn I have not been getting a code 12 for like a week and a half now. I finally decided to start over with a stock BIN. So I just changed the neccessities like diabling VATS and changing the injector constant and stuff. And for the first time tonight I finally got code 12 after a week and a half.

My question was that I was wondering is there anything in the chip that if you shut it off or put something in a wrong value will it not give a code 12?
