OK, I have been attempting to link the CM software to my 730 ecm. I have used the exact same computer and max 232 to link to 165 ecms without problems. When I hook it up on my car I get the "sending echo request" and a 4 distint digits sent and received and then nothing more. I did change the type of ecm to 730. Suggestions? What can I do to make sure my max 232 link is working properly? Does he sending the echo response indicate that it is OK? Thanks

 

OK, well I figured it out. When I switched from TBI to TPI a few years ago the aldl stayed with the car. The TBI aldl differs from te tpi aldl and thus when I go to hook up the adaptor I was hooking it up wrong.
