SD memcal

I searched and couldn't find any deffinitve answer so figured I'd repose the question.

Is there a "preffered" memcal? Something for a 350 auto with numerically high gears (3.73 in my case)?

Wont be running the prom from it but at least need to make sure the ESC and all that noise is as close as possible, thanks.

The part number for the 350 SD memcal is in the prom burning article.

"Also, for your information, the current GM (AC Delco) part number for a new MemCal unit for all 1990-1992 350 F-Bodies is 16151348."

Isn't there differences.....

Not questioning whether the information is correct or not but I thought the esc and other things pertaining to the vehicle where different from memcal to memcal. (besides the prom)

Is the ESC memcal filter not displacement sensitive in SD or what?

The SD memcal is indead differant for the 305 and the 350, the reason indead is the ESC circuitry. The part number posted in the Prom article is the 350 SD memcal.

I won't even get into the MAF memcals, there are many versions of them even ignoring the prom itself.

I didn't realize the SD 305 & 350 memcals were different. I know I have 1 350 memcal and 1 305 memcal, but I forgot which is which, ****. Can anyone help me out with this one

The ESC part of the chip says:

3R9220 on the one chip
&
2P1207 on the other chip

Thanks
Jay

Those are just "batch numbers', not part numbers. I checked and everyone's has been differant.
There is a number on the side of the memcal, look yours up and post it.

Hmmm don't check this board much, but here goes. I assume you are talking about the numbers molded into the brown plastic, here they are:

68767 91 51N

68767 8933

Thanks
