I found this item on ebay. Apprently this guy manufactures these and will be selling them on his website soon too. I was wondering if anyone thought this item would work with WinBin or Tunercat to program chips. $85 is cheaper than $150 for the pocket programmer. Thanks.

I'm done experimenting. Why play the maybe game?.
Maybe get it in three months, maybe good support, what are repair costs, free updates, etc..

Doesn't do 2732 or 29C256s so it's useless to me.

Yep, read the "will support flash proms" in the future statement. Why wait for it and maybe not get to do them at all. Not worth the hassle to me but it may be worth your time.

Agreed. Howerver, Epromer 5 is coming out in September and will be able to support flash proms.

I found a better deal though. At the website listed below you can get a Batronix EEprom Programmer 3.2 kit to put together yourself for $37 plus shipping or you can get the completed eprom burner for $67 plus shipping. And these DO support the 29C256 chips. Still cheaper than the $150 pocket programmer.

I'm just offering an alternative for people that don't have a ton of extra cash lying around. Seems like so many people on here that have extra cash assume that everyone else does too.

Sorry guys, the website is ......

http://www.batronix.com/electronic/e-shop.shtml

If you buy the programmer, you'll also have to buy the $15 LITE Software license too. No biggie. Still cheaper.
