If you mean a 1993 with a Memcal, its the same equipment (except the Memcal) as for an 3rd Gen SD car.

The later 4th gens (8051)s are 'flashed' as there is no Memcal.

Yeah, I have a 730 and a 95 Z28. THe 730 needs all the basic prom burning tools. The 95 Z28 doesn't need the burner. Tunercat has software for flashing the prom that comes in their definition file for the $EE mask. I thought that was a great bargain from them as the other LT1 editor sells for like $500. Imagine, this just cost me an extra $20. Even though I think the other program comes with its own scanner, I use Freescan, so it doesn't even make a dent in the price. Thanks again to Tunercat.

So the ee from tunercat also reads and flashes!? Too cool! I was just wondering about that and had looked at lt1edit too-but didn't care for the $$$!!
But what cable can I use with tunercats?
Thanks for the timely info!

Same cable they sell for LT1 edit at AKM cables or build your own. I think he sells a kit for $35 unassembled without the wires but everything for the PC board is included. Better than $100 and quite honestly, do you really need the OBD adapter when you can tap right into the wires?
