Will the $32B('87) .ecu file for WinBin work with a $32('86) .bin? There's not much difference, if any, between the '86 and '87 that I know of.... or is there? All I can find is the $32B .ecu, I can't find the $32 .ecu. I'll probably end up using the $6E in the end but right now I have a $32 chip and I want to read that file first so I can do some comparisons between it and the $6E and comparisons between it and the modified $32B chip that I have in the car now.
If that won't work, does anyone know where I could get a $32 .ecu? I've looked at all the links in Traxion's PROM burning article and can't find it.
Thanks!

If I'm right, you could inmediately start burning the $6E in your car. For this, you need put a $6E bin into your EPROM, then you could make modifications to this new bin with a 6E.ecu. (Read my tests about bin/mask interchanges in the sticky at V6 forum).

The 32 and 32B are not the same, so you'd need the right ecu file. You should just change to the 32B bin rather than trying to track down a 32 ecu file if there even is one. Changing to 6E is an even better idea, but if you're stuck on using a cold start code dont waste your time with the 32.
I plan on using the $6E in the end but I have the stock '86 305 chip ($32) that I would like to look at and my '87 350 Ed Wright chip ($32B) that I want to look at also. I can't very well look at the programming in these chips w/out the proper .ecu. Oh well, I have the $32b.ecu and the $6E.ecu ... I guess that will do for now. Thanks.
nothing in particular that I want to look at, I'm just new to this and wanted to look around.
