Comparing 1987 - 1988 bins ... comment on PE and spark
I am just comparing the BIN I am running now, a 1987 ABWN to a newer 1988 AKXX I download of DIY.
In my 1987, the Power Enrichment Mode Spark Advance is zero for all RPMS, however the spark advance table is high. Compared to the 1988, it has the Power Enrichment Mode Spark Advance over a whole range, but a lower spark advance table.
My 1987 prom seems very linear, a stepped. Sorta like you read a book and setup the table how it "should" look. The 1988 appears to resemble what it might look like after some tuning.
I guess my question is about Power Enrichment Mode Spark Advance. Was this not really used in 1987?
CAn anyone recommend a good thread that describes the PE and how it gets enabled? I have been searching and reading most of the evening thus far.

Gm varies alot from year to year on what they do at times.
Finding a commented hac of the code your running will have all the various enables, defined.
