Fuel tuning

I am a little confused about tuning the VE table for the 730 ecm. I want to start with removing fuel at my low rpm, for idle purposes. Right now that is all I want to change. In the table, should I just remove fuel in one, the lowest, MAP region, or lower across 2 or so regions to keep the curve smooth? What do you think?

I want to do this because I run rich at idle and cold starts are rough until warm up. I am trying to eliminate this as best I can. Thanks in advance.
