Quick Air/Fuel ratio quetion.

I know the chip is setup for 14.7:1, and this is what most people shoot for, but does it help to go lower? Can you tune for say a 14:1 ratio? If so are there any advantages? Can you tune for the 14:1 example across the board (part throttle only)? I'm using a 730 ECM

Its been said that 12.5 air to fuel creates the most power. The stoichometric ratio is 14.7 to 1. Stioch means nothing left over (ie : no extra gas or air) You could tune for a lower afr, but why? Thats what Power enrichment is for.
