Is there anyone that can create a help guide ? WInBIn??
Hello everyone,
My question, Does anyone have the knowledge to create a help guide that actually explains what the various words mean & what they actually do in WINBIN? For example what the hell is a LV8? Does that mean the level of something & if so why didn't the programers of the program just say level? or a DFCO & what happens when a person mess around with these & other code changes?
Im surprised no one made this topic with the answers, A STICKY POST a long time ago. It would really help Newbie people out which always have the same types of questions.
Thanx,
njdaewoo

Thanx Morely,
but thats not what Im talking about. There's a lot of terms & options in the WINBIN program. My question is can someone compile a complete WINBIN with answers type of sticky that most people can use as a reference . Most of these WINBIN terms can be answered by most senior winbin users but, newbie guys and girls have a really tough time understanding what a DFCO means & how to use it.

I know, thats not exactly what you were looking for, but it might be easier if you made a list of the terms you can't identify and ask on these boards what they mean (maybe just a few at a time) and maybe a breif explaination of what they do.
Also, some of the tuneable variables you see on your bin file may not exist in others and others may have some your bin files don't contain. So a "complete" listing of the variables and their meanings/effects would be a very large undertaking.

what bin files are you working with. i have at times whished there was a master compliaon of terms.
LV8 is an expresion of Airflow vs RPM. it also means Load Variable 8 bit.
DFCO is Decel Fuel Cutoff. when the throttle is closed for X amount of time and RPM is decreasing the ECM will cut fuel.until there is a positive change is TPS voltage or the engine reachs idle speed. it does vary ECM to ECM exactly how its carried out however.
if you have more you would like answerd feel free to ask.

Thanx again for the reponses, but what I seek is the answers for so much more. I may ask a 1 question here & a question there but it would be so much easier to have a master listing of these questions & answers.
