What idle?

What idle should i have? What would you recommend for me? I have installed a zz4 crate motor with the fastburn heads, miniram, and the lt4 hot cam, what should be my idle set at? I am going to order an Ed Wright fastchip and they ask for an idle speed. Any recommendations? And remember, don't bash me TOO much ok! I can take some criticism, and remember, the only stupid question is the one not asked, sometimes. Any help? Not tuning my own prom right now due to the fact that i just need my car running soon and i know it will be really difficult to try and get it right first time out working with my stock 305 chip. I would rather work off of a "custom" chip, a little easier i think since right now i have no clue as to what is being discussed in this board. Thanks for any help-Bryan

My engine, very similar to yours, liked a 750rpm idle at operating temp. Below that and the HOT cam's lopey idle would rattle your teeth out.

Oh yeah!? Thanks for the input. So how does the car sound at idle? Is it nice because the cam is not anything too wild and most consider it to be small. From other posts i have read it seems like that is an avg idle to have with all types of combos. Thanks again for oyur time-Bryan

At 750rpm it sounds nice and lopey, you'll like it.
