Whats the difference between the memcals for the 165 and 730 ECMs? I picked up a 730 ECM so I can do the conversion to Speed density, but it did not come with a memcal. Can I just put the 730 bin on the chip for my 165 memcal? Is the limp home mode the only thing that will be wrong?

 

The memcals are different.

The 165 does not have the ESC circuitry built in. The 730 does.

 

as far as i can tell the following is true. except for limp home. all the 727 730 749 memcals are the same esc boards. they use the same knock sensor.

 

Anyone have an extra they want to let go of? The junk yards around here are picked clean already.

 

Your best bet is to grab a new one from the dealer (AUJP B/code for an auto). They are 27c256 (the 165 is a 27c128).
