Moderating ... not mediating ...

I just wanted to indicate my redefined stance with regard to moderating this board. If anyone has a healthy objection or suggestion then please let me know. I am stating this stance due to the public ramblings between myself and ski_dwn_it (Jesse). From my side these ramblings stem from an attempt to appeal to both sides of the fence. There are different philosophical approaches to who should and should not be allowed to use this board. Fact is, this is a public board and all are welcome who are interested in DIY-PROM'ing.

I shall moderate this board in the following manner ....
1) Any posting that does not pertain to DIY-PROM will be transferred to the appropriate forum and a redirect will be left on this forum.
2) Any posting from someone asking for a custom chip will be deleted.
3) Any posting from a member offering to do a custom chip will be deleted.
4) Any post not relevant to any TGO forum will be deleted (except in cases of tragedy, etc.).
5) If a post is getting out of control then it will be locked - please e-mail me if this happens and you don't agree.
6) I WILL NO LONGER GET INVOLVED IN ANY DISAGREEMENTS OR CONCERNS BETWEEN FORUM USERS. If you have a concern please take it up with the user via e-mail or via the forum. Keep in mind that if you take this up via the forum and the post gets out of control then I will have to lock it.
7) Any post that supports software piracy, including attaching BINs that belong to major companies (HyperTech, ADS, FastChips, TPIS, etc.) will be deleted.

Now, with that said, feel free to share information, programs, BINs, and to ask any question DIY-PROM related. I'll moderate according the rules stated above but will no longer mediate concerns between forum users. Please use your best judgement and deal with your own concerns on your own. Simply put, it wastes my time and puts me in the middle ... which really sucks.

Ironically, I thank Jesse for motivating me to rethink my approach for moderating this forum.

Tim

I must say that this has gone full circle back to were it should be. People coming together and helping one another and not passing judgement because, the actions of some, don't agree with others.

We are all here because we love automobilies, the sport of racing, and technology.

What Tim just did speaks miles of the person he is and has my utmost respect from here on out. (trust me, if you would have seen a few of the emails, between Corkvette, Tim, and I you would appreciate that statement much more) But thats just it, the majority of it was handled off the forum, where it should be, between the parties involved.

Tim has a sizeable job that few of us would want to have. So lets try to make it a little easier on him and contact the parties you disagree with via email, as he indicated, and handle it yourself.

Now lets get back to what we all came here for!
