Turbo code for an '808?

I have an Australian '808 that I'd like to use on a 4 cylinder turbo. I've had a look around, but I can't find a BIN for this ECM that has MAPs over 100 kPa. Any suggestions?

or some such thing.
thou they have been in and out of business, and at one time just left their customers hanging. They did a boosed mode 808 at one time.

Or get into the code and read up on the 749 way of doing things, and patch the two together.

Don't know if this helps or not but...

The quad 4's in 88 use the 749 ecm. It has the capabilities to handle boost as previously mentioned. I am setting up the 749 to run a boosted TT setup in my firebird, and it has a setting for 4 cylinder's in the code.... so i don't see why it wouldn't work if you got the harness, and sensors and such from a quad 4.

My 2 cents.

Grumpy: Thanks for the response. The bloke now marketing Kalmaker in Western Australia (Alan Gibbs) is very helpful, and as you say, can supply a turbo Kalmaker system. But you still need an eprom burner and to use the Kalmaker in more than 1 car, you need to buy another "security pal" which costs 40% of K's real time board system (still probably good value though). I've had a look at what you fellas are doing and it looks interesting enough to have a go at some elementary NA ECM modifications. I might still go for a Kalmaker after playing with PROM burning. As for code splicing from the 749, that sounds like trying to run before I can crawl. By the way, www.kalmaker.com.au, and there are also links to a Forum54 BB.

Balael6: Thanks also for the response. What's a "quad 4"? Adapting a whole 749 sounds like it might fit my crawling pace. Where do you get them from in the US, how many $ roughly, and are they similar to a '165 (which is what our '808's are based on).

Heres all the info regarding a 165(808) to 749 swap. BW

Saturn5- thanks for the great link! I see you had some input to the project as well. This is a neat way to get the solution I'm after.

Does anyone have any links to US sites that might sell the Sy/Ty 749 stuff used and freight it to the land of Oz?

Thanks again,
John
