Need help with prom stuff

I was looking through the sticky on the thirdgen board and was wondering if you could help me with something. I am putting a T40B turbo in my 1001 TPI 350 camaro and was looking through some ways to make the air/fuel ratio correct. I read a website that explains how to put a turbocharged gm computer into my car. That website is: http://www.speedtoys.com/~bort62/7749/Main.htm . They said I need to use a 749 computer with a 730 memcal, then they say I need to put a Prom with a $58 bin. This is where I am confused what is the $58 bin? Do I need a computer interface? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

THe $58 BIn is the sy/ty bin. THe 749 was used on 90 million cars.. well not that many but.

You need a memcal out of a 730 v8 f-body. An adapter, or some soldering skills..

Read this https://www.thirdgen.org/newdesign/tech/promintro.shtml

it will help you with a lot of the basic questions you are asking. Then, if you have any detailed questions, just repost them.

As for "what's a bin"??? A "bin" is the actual "program" that resides on the "chip" in your ECM (the computer). When we modify the "bin" people are altering a "table, switch or constant" inside the program - not the actual instructions. You would need to have Source Code which most don't.
