Took my first few logs; some questions

Yesterday and the Thursday before that I managed to head to the dragstrip and log a few runs. I have a few questions.

Last Thursday, I was getting a tremendous amount of knock counts -- 50 alone just in the burnout process! I traced this to coolant temperature (~215*) and I installed a 180* thermostat. Last night I got no more than 10 counts of knock. The coolant temp was right around 190* through all of my runs. Does this seem logical?

My AFR at WOT is 12:1. I have a feeling that's too low... I'd like to try 12.5:1 and see what the engine likes and adjust from there. A WB would help a great deal I'm sure. My BLMs throughout WOT were right on at 128. Is this normal?

That's about it for now. I'm not home right now so I can't post any logs. My Camaro is running a crappy ADS SuperChip (not installed by me).

Sure is. At WOT you go open loop and the BLM's lock at 128 but they don't mean anything any more.

So, with the BLMs locked and meaningless, is the richness/leanness is determined through the AFR? Is that why everybody says that it's a lot easier to tune WOT with a wide band O2 sensor?
