Code 36 error....... HELP

I don't know if this is related to anything I can do with my prom or not, but maybe someone has some insite. My 87 IROC has a recuring code 36 (maf burnoff) error. It will go for a few days, and then I get an error. Resst the computer, drive a few days, and it comes again. I have tried changing every relay I could find, and no luck. Anyone here have this prob before, or any ideas on causes? Is it possible the maf is failing, and thats doing it? I may go to s.d. if thats the case. Thanks for any help.

Check all the connections for the burn off relay, you may have corrosion built up on a pin and making intermittant contact. The relay is in the engine bay in the cluster of relays on the driver side of the firewall.

Ok, now Im really stumped. Installed new maf power and burnoff relays, put all new ends on all wires for connectors. The old wires and ends were getting pretty haggard. Reset ecm. I drove for 4 days with no problems, then the da*n ses light comes on. Same error code 36. I bought a decent troubleshooting guide tonight to try to help. Anyone else have any good ideas? this is making me crazy. TIA
