Trainer wheels for HC11 newbies?
I'm looking around to see if there is a cheap evaluation board that could help me learn Motorola assembly that will then enable me to do some re coding, understand hacs etc.
What do you CodeOphiles think about this?
At NZD 139 (that's about USD 70) for the CPU board plus the development board and the software, that doesn't seem like bad value.
I'm looking for something that allows a serial link to my PC with "lights and buzzers" to turn on and off with the HC11 code so I can learn hands on. Is this the right place to start?
Any other suggestions on tools that might be better value or a better place to start?
John

I've bought 2 developement boards, and a serious robotic toy, and abandoned them all out of frustration.
My current strategy is just bombarding myself with the snippets of stuff I've found on the net, and trying to edit that into actual source code.
To have really meaningful source code also means even having the RAM locations the processor uses, and I to this day have no clue how guys figure that end out.
It is really addictive, and usually fun, but it can be a long road.
