idle ghost :(

hey all,

I have a valid prom burner working on tuning my car. All mods are in sig. The thing runs great and pulls hard throughout the RPM's, but he can't get it to idle correct.

On start-up it idles AWESOME 750 rpm or so..maybee 800. And as soon as I put in gear, it's fine as well. But if i drive around the block and come to a stop, it surges from 800-1100. it just goes up, then drops, etc etc.

I keep sending datamaster files to him and he keeps sending me .bin files to load back in the chip.

Any ideas?? Any clues on what I can suggest to him?

Ohh, also when its surging if I powerbrake it and romp on the throttle real quick and let off(kinda make the car jump), the idle will drop back and behave great.

thanks in advance

Beat me to it! I had a similar problem and it drove me nuts (throttle plates were sticking). If you tap the gas pedal does it idle correctly?

I had a similar problem. It was the spark table. The mods I had done to the car had moved the parameters(LV8/rpm) to the level where depending on where it was idling the spark advance was moving from 20 to 30^. I leveled out the spark advance numbers in the idle area of the table and it was fine.
