tunercat questions

I have recently bought tunercat for my S10 blazer, 062/$4e (I know its not 3rd gen, but the wife is on my butt to work with the blazer, instead of the IROC all the time). Anyway, TC has a few parameters I am not sure what they are. First is "Main Spark Bias". This is not initial advance, as there is a table for that elsewhere. Also there is a table "Extended RPM Slope" that is deg/1k, that I am assuming is an advance adder table to the main spark table? Also there is "BPW constant", which I am assuming is an injector size constant table? All my prior work has been on wimbin for a 165 ecm, so Im not 100 % sure what a few of the tables are. Thanks in advance.

yes

its a combination of cylinder size and injector size.

dont worry about it. without the bias you would have 0 as the minimum value. typically 20 degress is the offset so you can retard timing to -20 degress btdc.

Bob - the main spark bias is precisely what i explained to you when i emailed you the 4E ECU file ... since GMECM edit doesnt have the ability to incorporate this into the table itself, you need to keep this bias value in mind while editing the spark and cool tables...

see my email. ;-)
