I was looking at a hack of the 7730 on GMECM GUY's web page a nd saw this line(L8015)

L8015: FCB 230 ; PULSE/MILE RD SPD CONST
ARG = 921600/VAL

. I was wondering if this value can be changed with a prom burner. the stock value is 4000 pulses per mile, I would like to change it to 2000 pulses per mile so I can use the VSS on the speedometer of my 86 chevy truck. This speed sensor is used for the cruise control on the truck. I am converting to TPI so this could be useful. I would also have to do some wiring changes, no big deal. If anyone here has heard or done this your knowledge would be helpful.

In the original appl, the 730 used the magnetic impulse VSS.

If your wanting to change to the optical input then you need to change location 0018 from D8 to 98.
And then use C6 for the speedo input.

I beleive you leave the divide by alone.
