I didn't think any variations of winbin were useful for reading or burning proms.
I am using X-Tronics software that came with the pocket programmer II. I do not know what software works with the Bytek programmer, but that's what you need.
With an 85, you may want to spend your time thinking about converting to an 86-89 ECM, or even 90-92. Much smarter ECM; more resources for prom burning for them.
Good luck.

thanks for your input but i am just beginning the prom burning thing and i can only use what i have for right now and the programmer was a freebie from work i dont have software for it but i heard it is built into the unit so i dont know if win bin is communicating with it. i would buy software from tunercat but i want to know if i can get this programmer to at least read a prom first thanks if anybody can help
Sorry to tell you this but Bytek no longer sells or supports their Multiprogrammer. A Google Search on Bytek+Multiprogrammer shows a LOT of people trying to find owner's manuals and software to use it - but none to be found.

Good luck.
